Areas of activity
The IPCY’s projects cover three areas of activity that—taken together—aim to recognize the lived realities of youth while equipping and empowering the communities that support them:
Fieldwork: Comprehensive outreach programming of innovative philosophical practices for youth and their communities, including in local schools and organizations.
Training: Teaching the techniques of philosophical facilitation to adults working with youth from preschool through college levels.
Research: Interdisciplinary, theoretical and empirical studies on community philosophy in an effort to refine its methods and to assess its social impact.
